Melita Skamnaki is the Co-Founder and Co-Director of London based Double Decker Curating and Design studio. She has an MA in Curating Contemporary Design from Kingston University in partnership with the Design Museum and has also studied Art and Design at Camberwell College of Arts. Before moving to London Melita was an award winning Creative Director at DDB Athens, Upset and Ogilvy Athens, overseeing brands including Vodafone, Aegean Airlines and Action Aid. Her work has been nominated and awarded for several international creativity and effectiveness awards. At Double Decker Melita leads the way in creating brand strategies, visual identities and artwork programs for hospitality projects from clients including PURO Hotels, Mandarin Oriental, Conran+Partners and HYATT International. On the cultural side of the business she has curated art exhibitions and programs for museums including The Oscar Niemeyer Museum - Brazil, Design Museum - London, Onassis Cultural Centre – Athens and The Science Museum - London. She given previous talks at Central Saint Martins, London Festival of Architecture, Kingston University/Design Museum and the Sleep Art Panel.
