Originally from Nova Scotia, Canada, Dale has lived in Europe for 22 years, in locations including Bucharest, Prague, Istanbul and London. After graduating in Political Science at Dalhousie University, Dale joined the Hilton Halifax for a summer job as Front Desk Receptionist 28 years ago. She has worked for Hilton Worldwide ever since, joining their luxury division, Waldorf Astoria, as their first female General Manager in 2010. In January 2013, she moved to Edinburgh, to join Waldorf Astoria Edinburgh The Caledonian. Here she oversees 241 guestrooms and suites, 8 banqueting suites, two restaurants the informal Grazing by Mark Greenaway and the fine dining Pompadour and the only Guerlain Spa within the UK. Since she arrived, Dale has reshaped parts of the business and recruited many senior colleagues, all with an international luxury brand background. Dale’s leadership style has allowed Waldorf Astoria Edinburgh to obtain several accolades through the years and in September 2017 Dale was awarded Hotelier of the Year by Business Women Scotland
Magazine. Dale is married with one son and a dog.
