Bruce Robertson is Managing Director of Standard, London: Standard International's first opening outside of The USA. In his role he oversees all aspects of the project to transform the historic, brutalist Camden Town Hall Annex into a world-class 266-room hotel.
Boasting two restaurants; a 500-sq-m outdoor area including garden; rooms with outdoor bathtubs and terraces overlooking St. Pancras Station, the property will celebrate the history and architecture of the building and neighbourhood while connecting it to the future of the area; anchoring the ongoing revival of King’s Cross.
Serving in senior management roles for 25 years, Bruce has headed up eight hotel openings for names such as Dakota, McCulloch, and D&D London, and prior to joining Standard International worked for Soho Group overhauling operations at their Shoreditch House location.
Well known for his interpersonal and people management skills; Bruce is a firm believer in training and investing in people, passionate about guest care whilst at the same time recognising the need to deliver the revenue and profit objectives of the business.
