Widely regarded as the world’s preeminent hospitality designer, Adam D. Tihany hascreated hotel anddining interiors at some of the most iconic and luxurious properties around the globe, including The Beverly Hills Hotel, The Westin Chosun in Seoul, One & Only Cape Town, Belmond Hotel Cipriani in Venice, The Breakers in Palm Beach, Four Seasons Dubai DIFC and The Oberoi New Delhi. His sophisticated, often groundbreaking, designs are custom-tailored to fit the vision of the client and stay true to their location. Tihany was one of the first designers to collaborate with internationally acclaimed chefs, creating signature restaurant interiors for culinary stars such as Thomas Keller, Daniel Boulud, Jean-Georges Vongerichten, Heston Blumenthal and Wolfgang Puck. In addition to hotels and restaurants, Tihany has become a leading name in the cruise industry, creating innovative design concepts for Holland America Line and ultra-luxury Seabourn vessels. As Creative Director for Costa Cruises, Tihany is overseeing the design development for the next generation of ships for the iconic Italian travel brand. Tihanywas recently appointed Creative Director for Cunard, where he will lead the design vision for the British luxury line’s new ship, launching 2022. Tihany has licensed product lines for celebrated international companies including Christofle, Kartell, Roda and Poltrona Frau. With the recent launch of Tihany Product Design, he will continue to forge meaningful collaborations with renowned manufacturers around the world.His contribution to design has been recognized with numerous honors and awards, including the Lawrence Israel Prize from the Fashion Institute of Technology, induction into the Interior Design Hall of Fame and an Honorary Doctorate from the New York School of Interior Design.As a leading expert, Tihany frequently lectures at universities and conferences around the world currently sits on the advisory board of Israel’s Design Museum Holon. He has served as Art Director to the Culinary Institute of America and is a former member of Pratt Institute’s Board of Trustees. He has published several books on his workincludinghis latest, Tihany: Iconic Hotel and Restaurant Interiors, published by Rizzoli.
